Situation, wife Lauren announces baby #2 is a girl

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is going to be a dad girl.

Sorrentino, star of MTV’s “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” and his future wife Lauren Sorrentino, announced the gender of their second baby on Wednesday, Nov. 9, via social media.

“IT’S OFFICIAL! We have a situation!! It’s a girl,” Mike posted along with a photo of him and Lauren. “Baby coming Jan 2023.”

A #girldad hashtag was included. Lauren, 37, sported a pink feather boa for the occasion. The Sorrentinos are the proud parents of 17-month-old Romeo, who previously appeared on ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’.

College sweethearts Mike and Lauren tied the knot at Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains in 2018. Two months later he reported to federal prison for tax evasion, where he served eight months.

They lived in Long Branch before moving to Holmdel, Lauren’s hometown, in late 2019. The series often films at the home, which is near actor Jenni “JWoww” Farley’s residence.

Mike, 40, from Manalapan, went from bad boy on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights on the original ‘Jersey Shore’ series from 2009-2012 to a beacon of positivity (for the most part) on the new ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” which debuted in 2018. Along the way, he battled an opioid addiction and is now a recovery advocate for Banyan Treatment Centers.

The couple announced they were expecting baby No. 2 in August.
